Antiques 101 Course Designed for Beginners
Toronto, Ontario (May 15, 2002)
Take-A-Boo Emporium is now offering Antiques 101, a 
workshop designed for antique lovers.  

Participants will be encouraged to bring questions as the
course will be in an interactive question and answer format. 

In this crash course on antiques, participants will learn:
  • how to tell what's real and what's fake
  • pros and cons of buying antiques and reproductions 
  • how to get the best price and more. 
The course will be offered once a month (visit www.takeaboo.com for 
course dates) in the evenings at Take-A-Boo Emporium 1927 Avenue Road. 
Enrolment is limited to 12 people and the cost is $35 per person. 

Mr. Swinton says, “Many customers come in the shop and really don’t know

a lot about antiques but they are keen to learn. This course will give

them a strong foundation.”

Take-A-Boo Emporium is owned and operated by husband and wife 
team, Martin and Andrea Swinton. Located in Toronto, Ontario,
the shop has a large collection of rare antique pieces and
vintage collectibles.  Tired, broken, and damaged furniture are
given a new life because the shop specializes in caning repairs
hand & inset)and rushing
, furniture restoration and repairs,
custom upholstery. As well, appraisals, consignment, consulting,
appearances at events and a monthly Antiques 101 course are 
offered.
