Take-A-Boo Emporium is a return to an old-style shopping 
experience. From Arts & Crafts furniture to Depression glass 
collectibles to furniture restorations, Take-a-Boo Emporium has 
something for everyone.
 
Take a boo through the collectibles, antique Persian carpets and 
Hollywood memorabilia. Sneak a peek at the Art Deco light 
fixtures, balloon back chairs and vintage mirrors, and don't miss
the extensive collection of antique toy cars. 
 
Shopkeeper Martin Swinton, a former antique appraiser, specializes 
in restoring forgotten and mistreated furniture - giving them new life. 
Mr. Swinton does all restorations by hand. No pieces are dipped or sanded. 
Mr. Swinton says, "I want to preserve the patina; that's the beauty of 
antiques. I don't like to use sand paper." 
 
Take-A-Boo Emporium accepts consignment, rents movie props and 
provides furniture restoration, custom upholstery services, 
appraisals and consultations. 
 
Take-A-Boo Emporium is owned and operated by husband and wife 
team, Martin and Andrea Swinton. Located in Toronto, Ontario,
the shop has a large collection of rare antique pieces and
vintage collectibles.  Tired, broken, and damaged furniture are
given a new life because the shop specializes in caning repairs
hand & inset)and rushing
, furniture restoration and repairs,
custom upholstery. As well, appraisals, consignment, consulting,
appearances at events and a monthly Antiques 101 course are 
offered.
